This new release from Talisker called 'Storm' is full of the bold character the distillery is known for - spicy smoke and a touch of honeyed sweetness followed by an explosion of pepper, both black and white. There is a toffee richness on the palate that brings a sweetness to balance the hint of salt and the surging peppery smoky heat.
Talisker is the first distillery on the Isle of Skye, producing a unique style of whisky, half way between a gentle, salty, smoky West Highland malt and something smokier from Islay. Robust and punchy, peat plays a leading role on the nose, backed up with honey, leather and spice and a touch of chili-pepper heat.
