This single cask bottling hails from one of Scotland's most northerly distilleries on the Orkney Islands, while the exact distillery is unknown, it's signature heathery peat smoke hints at a possability. The colour is a rich mahogany, hinting at it's deep sherry cask influence. On the nose there are aromas of plum sauce and cherry compote with hints of treacle and nutmeg spice. Rich tones of dates and caramel coat the palate, rounded out with dark chocolate and sultanas with honey soaked pumpernickel bread. Sea salt infused chocolate and nutmeg spice linger on the finish.
