Marking the 3rd release of the Traigh Bhan series, offering a rare taste of some of the Ardbeg distilleries older stocks. Matured for 19 years in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, it shows the more mellow side of the distillery, with toffee, floral and citrus notes combined with a softer, more scented peat smoke. The treacle toffee and gentle spice moves to clove, pepper and a sooty, ashy finish that lingers. Ardbeg's classic peaty tone is still here, softened and rounded with nearly 20 years of maturation.
