This expression from Craigellachie distillery in Speyside has been bottled from a single refil Butt, which pairs beautifully with Craigellachie's light, fruity and slightly smoky spirit. On the nose, there aromas of dried barley, warm cut hay and malty digestive biscuits. Time in the glass reveals dry Oloroso, and soft smoky tones. The palate is full bodied and oily, with an abundance of sweet fruit and confectionary notes, (dried fruits, citrus and barley sugars.) The finish is long and lingering with wafts of charcoal, wood spice and even more barley.
