Distilled in 2000 at the Edradour distillery, this small-batch bottling comes from a batch of casks that were initially matured for 7 in ex-bourbon barrels, before spending the last 14 years in fresh ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The heavy cask influence is obvious in colour and flavour, with toffee, strawberry and raisins galore. A richly spiced sandalwood tone builds throughout, with touches of vanilla, coconut and apple as well. A very rich and complex expression from Edradour, known as Scotland's 'wee gem'.
