Another exciting release from Foursquare distillery in Barbados, this fourteen year old expression has seen five years of maturation in ex-Bourbon casks, with at least nine years in a ex- Cognac cask. Tropical mango notes waft up from the glass, combined with tart notes of plum skin, juicy crisp white pears and hints of parsnip. Orange oil and vanilla aromas intermingle with leathery tones and a slight medicinal quality on the end of the nose. The palate is soft, juicy and fruity, jam packed with red grapes, tropical pineapple and sticky sweet strawberry jam, floral notes of Rose Turkish Delight combine with boozy sultanas and delicate caramel notes. The finish delivers chewy honeycomb notes, green walnuts, aromatic cumin powder and more orange oils with a lingering note of eucalyptus.
