This expression of Glen Elgin whisky, bottled by Berry Bro's and Rudd as part of their Glens and Valleys collection has been matured for eleven years in a single Hogshead cask. The light straw colour hints to a fresh and floral profile. On the nose there are notes of sugared homemade short bread, fresh out of the oven, split vanilla pods and gentle wafts of orchard freshness. Notes of green apples and pears dance across the palate with a creamy texture. The finish is introduced with a hint of white pepper as the sweetness recedes, giving way to floral honey.
