The Glengoyne distillery sits astride Scotch whisky's Highland /Lowland line, and all of their whisky is made entirely from unpeated barley. We are delighted to see the return of their 21 year old to our shelves. Matured exclusively in European oak ex-Sherry casks, this is one of those classic, rich 'liquid Christmas cake' styles. The wood influence is immediately apparent on the nose with rich notes of red apples, spicy strudel, toffee and dried fruits. To taste, indulgent note of honey and aromatic oak coat the palate leading to a long and warming cinnamon finish.
