Produced by independent bottlers Elixir Distillers, this series forms part of a mutli-year release inspired by Shakespear's iconic play, Macbeth. Each bottling is named and inspired by one of the iconic characters of the play, and includes a label bearing the work of internationally renowned artist Sir Quentin Blake.
Though not directly mentioned by name, this release of the Macbeth series hails from the village of Kildalton, an area surrounding the iconic Ardbeg distillery on Islay. A kick of contrasting flavours to start - orange, lime and seaweed join crackling wood fires and smokey bacon. At this age the peat has become more integrated, giving its smoky edge to the other flavours, with honey, oysters and rich toffee's all getting a plume of peat. A very fine example of the distillery style at this age.
