This 16 year old marks the oldest core expression from Campbeltown's Glengyle distillery. Founded in 2004 by J & A Mitchell, the owners of Springbank, this whisky carries the unique signature of the region, with subtle sea-side and old-fashioned warehouse character. A burst of tropical fruits and gentle peat smoke lead the aroma, with mango and papaya joining creamy coconut and vanilla flavours. The finish is distinctive with a mineral saltyness, and a lingering malt biscuit quality with subtle peppery peat smoke.
