Specially selected by the team at Whisky Galore and Adelphi for DramFest 2025, this Caol Ila marks one of the four exclusives for the event. Distilled in 2014 and matured for 10 years in an ex-sherry hogshead, this is a classic Caol Ila - wind-swept beachside bonfires evokes smoke and salt, joining a rush of rich toffee and earthy peat. Flavours of peat-smoked bacon sizzling on a grill is contrasted by a citric profile of rich marmalade and tart citron. This single cask expression from Berry Brothers and Rudd showcases everything there is to love about Caol Ila, with the perfect balance between distillate and cask influence. Bottled from a single Oloroso Hogshead, this expression opens up on the nose very clean. There are notes honey, green herbs, wafts of gentle coastal smoke, and Caol Ila's signature banana note. Dry ashy smoke bursts out on the palate, joined with sweet honey and cooling menthol notes. Building up towards the finish, there are intense fruity and smoky notes that linger on and on.   

A truly colossal bottling by The Single Malt’s of Scotland as part of their ‘Director’s Special’ range. Picked by the Director himself for its exceptional quality and character, showing classic distillery characteristics along with the influence from decades of maturation. Distilled at Caol Ila distillery and aged for 40 years in a single hogshead cask, with a yield of only 108 bottles. Aromatic smoke fills the nose with elderflower cordial and nettle. Notes of earl grey with a spoonful of honey, tarragon, chocolate mint and a beautiful herbaceous tone. Flavours of orange oil and honey mingle in harmony. Orange chocolate with a hint of chilli spice brings some depth to the whisky, while eucalyptus and elderflower give a more delicate feel. Hints of coal smoke balance the sweet and sour notes. The finish is long and rich with juicy tangerine juice and fragrant rosemary, with subtle smoke, like the dying embers of a beach fire.

Part of famed independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail's new 'Discovery' range, this 13 year old Caol Ila from the west coast island of Islay falls under their 'smoky' profile, an introduction to bold flavour ranges that Scotch has to offer. We are met with sweet vanilla and dry cured meat aromas. Peat smoke undertones are complemented by banana and apricot. Ripe banana, kiwi and vibrant hints of fresh citrus, leading to a long, sweet and smoky finish.

This expression is part of parcel #11 of the Single Malts of Scotland 'Reserve Casks' series, distilled at Caol Ila distillery in 2013, this bottling was matured for ten years in a small parcel of three Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The nose is rich, with aromas of leather, soft dates, and smoky bacon with cherry jam. On the palate there are initial flavours of sultanas and stewed fruits, which give way to rich wood fire smoke and bitter dark chocolate. The chocolate notes linger on though the finish, evolving with the smoke. 

Part of Signatory's all new 'Small Batch' series, this bottling of Caol Ila has been matured in a selection of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks. There are expected notes of rich sherried tones, colliding with Caol Ila's signature coastal, meaty and oily nature, think of salty cured meats, coastal bonfire smoke, sweet nuts, tanned leather and hints of dried fruits.

From the northern edge of Islay, the Caol Ila distillery is known for a slightly more refined smoke character, with citrus fruit and and a gentle sweetness that mingles with the peat. Sophisticated and lingering, a great introduction to some of the smokier whiskies from the Island.

This single cask expression from famed bottlers Gordon and Macphail was distilled at Caol Ila distillery in 2006 before being laid down in one of Gordon and Macphail's own first fill ex Sherry Puncheons. after seventeen years of maturation, it was bottled at the natural cask strength of 58.3%

Black current jam and festive spice aromas lead to dried banana. Orange and roasted peanuts combine with treacle toffee and sweet smoke. A full finish with stewed berries and bonfire embers.
